Emulex develops markets and supports high-performance storage networking products for intel-based server clusters.

Howell Electric was selected to provide electrical construction for Emulex’s new San Jose facility.

This facility features: 28,000 sf of Class A offices, open office area, conference rooms training rooms, marketing rooms, and a 10,000 sf engineering lab.

The MEP systems consist of a 1-600 Amp 480 Volt service, and 1-800 Amp 480 Volt service to feed the distribution to a high density engineering lab, 80 KVA UPS, 5 CRAC units totaling 120 Tons, 500’ of 225 Amp Starline Busway, and cable tray. The additional 800 Amp 480 Volt service had to be brought up from the first floor electrical room up through a three story mechanical chase.
